2021 Toyota Corolla Cross review


A crossover is basically an elevated car or a hatchback.

If you didn't already know and again I'm pretty sure that you do a Toyota corolla cross is essentially an elevated Toyota Corolla Altis. 


Here it is with its front headlight assembly looking sort of like a Fortuner and piercing blue eyes staring at you. Like it was frank Sinatra ready to fly to the moon. 



The front grill kind of looks like a space invader thing going on that's really in your face with a very nice pattern. I might add you also get tiny little fog lamps found down below and well a very clean front really it's not the most cut or the most overly designed.



Open it up and you get to the peels the resistance of this Toyota corolla cross hybrid because it is a 1.8-liter hybrid engine. That's made into a CVT honestly when you first, open it and see the engine. You kind of hope and wish that it would actually, sit up a little taller. 


Dare say it now it's got 96 horses for the gasoline-powered engine alone. But combine it with the electric motor you get 120 horses and in total, you get 142-newton meters of torque.


In the city in hellish traffic, you get about 16 kilometers per liter so it's so far so good. Right on the highway, you sail past 23 kilometers per liter but here's the odd thing in the city during Sunday traffic you get 22 kilometers per liter.

The cross also comes with repeaters on the side mirror 18-inch wheels and 50 series tires that sit above 161 millimeters of ground clearance.

The rear is really not much to look at it's rather plain you've got your led lights on either side you've got your fog lamp found up here rather than down below black cladding is found down below really nothing spectacular.


Talk about steering into the skid. The legroom is actually okay the headroom much better but really it's the elbow room that has a problem so again better for just two and a half people at best on top of that you get a center armrest with two cup holders, you get ball holders to slash cup holders on either side kind of an elevated position I actually like that you have two air vents in the center and two charging points that are both 2.1 amperes very nice getting to the proper driving position inside the cross is really not a problem. 


Thanks to the electronic seats the dashboard are actually pretty nice good shaped functional simple yet it works and there's also mood lighting all around including. Here inside the cubby hole you also get a digital instrument cluster flanked by analog gauges. No tachometer on this guy instead. 

You get this power eco and charging an indicator which tells you what's happening with a hybrid system you also get this 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with apple car play and android auto and it doubles of course as your reverse the camera.

The Toyota corolla cross comes equipped with

  •  He'll start to assist control.

  • Emergency brake signal.

  • Toyota vehicle security system.

  • Automatic high beam.

  • Lane tracing assists with steering assist.

  • Lane departure alert.

  • The adaptive cruise control.

  • And finally ISOFIX Tethers.
